Jay Cutler's new DVD

I highly recommend his last 3 dvds. Don't know if he has any more than that, but they are 2 DVD sets, and his training is what should inspire us all.

He is simply awesome.

I like how (on one of his DVDs) he is doing incline bench press with 405 and no clip for reps

405 is a lot, but he is very massive. I never use clips and most people don't. I only use them on certain things like bar curls or something to where the balance may not be perfect.

i have to use them at any weight because i work out at the high school where i coach and several years back there was a strong kid (top thrower in the nation) there who left his weights on over the weekend all the time (like 500 on the squat) and the bars are all bent.

Not being a dick, but how does that make sense. You use collars because of a kid that was doing heavy weight bent the bars. That makes absolutely no sense at all. It is safer in reality for not using collars on the bench. If you get stuck lean that shit to one side and the plates come a crashing.

I can see using collars to try and set an example to the kids, but to me it makes no sense.

nah, i'm sure with the bars being bent the weights come-a-crashing whether you want them to or not. back in hs we had the same problem. huge guy that would squat rediculous amounts of weight, and when he bent the bar he switched it out for another. pretty soon they were all bent. the best sense would be for the athletic program to throw the bars away and replace them with straight ones. at least that's the safest thing.
