Jay Cutler tested positive for diuretics

Is this old news?

"It has now been confirmed that Jay Cutler, 2001 Mr. Olympia runner-up, and Markus Ruhl, 14th at the O, have been informed by the IFBB that their urine samples tested positive for banned diuretics. IFBB rules state that individuals whose samples test positive as a result of the contest's mandatory diuretic test will lose their placing and prize money and that all those athletes finishing below them will subsequently move up in prize money and placings. Thus, as a result of this ruling, Cutler would forfeit his second place spot, his $60,000 paycheck and qualification for the 2002 Mr. Olympia, and Melvin Anthony (originally placed 11th at the O) would move up to 10th and be awarded $10,000 in prize money (he originally received zilch), and, of course, gain qualification for the 2002 Mr. Olympia. However, we understand that Cutler is at this time seeking legal guidance in an effort to have the drug test result overturned. We'll keep you posted on developments. "

What the Fuck? With the dosages of gear (and other) they use and they disqualify them for diuretics ?

It's like charging Osama bin Laden with J walking or running a red light

does this diuretic ban have anything to do with dillett, matarazarra, etc having bad side effects from dehydration, or did they just choose diuretics as a token drug test.

Yes, it does. Guys were collapsing onstage, from dehydration, and putting their lives in jeopardy. That is why they started testing. Nasser lost his placing the first year they did it. He finished 3rd that year.

False alarm... he actually tested positive for Dianetics, they are working it out with L. Ron Hubbard as we speak.

I for one would just love for some pissed off competitor former or current expose and go after these guys who run bodybuilding.

I dont really follow it anymore except for what I read onhere and other sites but to me I think some of the stuff that is rumoured to take place would make excellent trash tv stories.

I am kinda surpised in this day and age with the way everybody sues everybody that this kinda stuff has not happened yet.

Ever see some of the people who judge bodybuilding shows from the novice to the pro shows.

Most of em dont even look like they workout, and the rest are made up of either former competitors and people who sucked at competing who have a chip on their shoulders.

Dont even get me started on the stupid awards they give out to people at the beginning of some of these shows, zzzzzzzzzz.

I am suprised they did not bust Shawn Rays balls for asking those judging questions at the press conference.

Bodybuilders using drugs?

.....No, say it ain't so....

Next, you will try to tell me wrestling is fake.:D

I'm surprised as rigged as it has been, they haven't officially titled bodybuilding as "sports entertainment."

I guess Jay didn't whisper the right sweet nothings in Wider's ear or refused to butt plug his old ass so he's a little ticked now.
