People always talk about how its the inside of a potential mate, that counts, not the external appearances, but their makeup on the inside.
I agree with this completely. I could not imagine being with someone who was hot, but i absolutely disliked.
But sometimes people take this statement a step further and say that appearances should really have NOTHING to do with your selection, because its not what really counts, and in the end you will all be old, gray, and ugly, etc etc.
Granted I think its good not to get too hung up on appearances, but why drop the notion of looking for an attractive mate alltogether? These people will tell you to purposely talk to the ugly girl. But I just wanna know "WHY?"
What if I dont want to talk to the ugly girl? lol. What if I think that I can do better than that?
I mean are we supposed to purposely fight nature? Are we supposed to go out of our way and talk to people that we'd rather not talk to? I have no problem talking to a stranger woman in public who is hot (in the right scenario), but a stranger woman who really has nothing glowing on the outside?
I think these people are off track. I dont think its wise to force yourself to get to know someone that you really dont care to get to know.
I'm going to be honest here. I wouldnt date an ugly woman unless I was ugly. I dont understand couples who cross zones (a common example: ugly guy, hot woman, etc)
