when I am finding myself getting excited because the temperature is gonna be ONLY 106 deg today!

Is this normal acclimation or has the sun baked my brain??

That's kinda what I thought. I guess I like extremes, first Alaska for 15 years, now hell......eerrr, I mean Arizona.

If you have to ask. . .

Have a good weekend in hell skinny-man!

In July the temps were anywhere from 110 to as high as 120 almost every day.

What do people do when it's that hot? Are they just used to it? I'd imagine pools would even get too hot to be any refief.

The pool temps get up in the 90's but it feels like much cooler compared to the outside temp. Pools are a must for sure.

Not much outdoor activities when it's that hot. Alot of the construction crews work the night or early morning shifts to avoid the heat.
Any other outdoor fun is usually in the late evening or indoors where there's AC.

You're just getting into some cooler weather those months, about low 40's to mid 30's during the day and 20's and low 30's during the night. Not too bad.

But a cruise would be cold since you'll be on the water.

My step brother was in Alaska for a couple of years. He did a lot of sea kayaking. He said the cliffs and mountains are so huge and just come straight out of the water. He said it's so massive and so clear you almost get vertigo trying to take it all in. I want to go one one, but I just don't have time. If I take two weeks off, it sets me back a month.
