well i like the taste of liver also it's very cheap and with potatoes and onions taste very good...Its liver a good source of protein?? like red meat or chiken?

Yay if you can handle the taste

It's very lean and full of zinc and iron

If you love it so much buy only grass fed/organic, if not organic than at LEAST limit yourself to calves liver. But I'm telling you, do your body a favor and SEEK OUT organic and buy organic calves liver if you love the stuff.

You are eating concentrated toxins when you eat liver. If you are eating liver from feedlot cattle every antibiotic, steroid, pesticide, and antiparasitic that cow was exposed to is going into YOUR body. I wouldn't touch the liver of a conventionally fed/raised cow with somebody else's hands.

100 gram servings:
Liver - Calories / Carbs / Protein / Fat / Saturated Fat

chicken - 119 / 1 / 17 / 5 / 2
turkey - 232 / 2 / 18 / 16 / 6
beef - 135 / 4 / 20 / 4 / 1
pork - 134 / 2 / 21 / 4 /1
lamb - 139 / 2 / 20 / 5 / 2
veal - 140 / 3 / 20 / 5 / 2

All are good sources of protein. Liver is very high in cholesterol but this will only become a problem if your nutritional intake is high in saturated fats.

What i meant to say was; Why would you want to eat the "oil filter" of the animal?

think about what the livers function is, to filter out the impurities of the blood.

Bad taste aside, do you still want to eat it?

For sure. Fortunately most all the liver sold in stores is calves liver as liver from the mature cow is a bit pungent.
