and it's LEG DAY! Go figure.........never fails to storm on leg day....anyone else blasting through them tonight? What do you think of this plan?

5x5 Back Squats - 1 warmup x 12 and 1 burnout x 10
DBell Str8 Leg Deads - 100X10x3
Reverse Lunge on Smith - 3 x 8-10
Leg Press - 3 x 12,10,8 then 1 set of 20
Leg Ext - 3 x 8-10
Leg Curl - 3 x 8-10

Also, I had this "fight" with a guyu last night in the gym....he's says it's more benefitial to do let's say 225 x 5 x 5 (which is heavy for him) and go above parallel than to do say 185 and be in the bucket for either 5 x 5 or 5 sets of 8.......what do you think?

depends on the goal really. but when you squat lower you work your hips to a greater degree than squatting above parrelell. as lou told me one day, paul anderson did alot of half squats for strength, however he also did alot of low, deep squatting and that thats what he felt made him very strong, becuase of the hip work. reportedly one time Paul did something like a warmup with 900 for a few half squats, and then did 10+ very deep strong reps.

Your routine seems to have a lot of repetition you probably don't need. Why do leg curls after rear squats and SLDL? And after squats, lunges, AND leg press you definitely don't need extensions... Also dunno if you're a PL or BB or SM or what, but you might want some calf work on leg day?

that's my take on it also
as a bb, quad size is above hip strength, but hip strength is required to build quad size
i vary sets between parallel, below parallel, and above parallel

if you understand that
