It's been a while but here's a new poem.

Heartbreak

The small shattered red pieces fall
Scattered about the plains of time
Blown endlessly adrift though the currents of life
Drifting aimlessly amidst the seas of pain
Emotions like searing flames burn the soul
Scarring the will already so fragile
Burdened to the breaking point
The hear gives way and breaks
Like a ship on a reef the spine soon cracks too
Disheveled thoughts like cargo spilled to the sea
Gradually floating apart making wholeness impossible
Aching pain in the vacant chest makes time slow
Thoughts uncontrolled destroy the minds control
Time stops in the minds eye
The focus becomes clear and fine
Mistakes made rush in on memories swift
Unloosed rage topples the senses
Loathing and self-doubt abide and grow
Fading thoughts of happy times go dark
Blackness envelops the soul
Hatred and despise are cast against love
Earth shattering crashes echo to eternity
Peace and tranquility become unfamiliar and forgotten
Icy spires of remorse and regret
Freeze the senses and dull the wits
Creeping like a winter haze into every corner of the mind
Identity inked out disappears
Sadness now cast in stone set sheets
Bears down upon the spirit
Soon weighting it to the ground
Regret a beacon on the horizon
Baiting us to come closer and feel its heat
Foreboding tides of sanity wash away the self
Uncompromising ideals soon tarnish with time
Letting light return and slowing the winds chill
Time starts anew the rest in slow motion rolls
Projecting upon an empty void
Those pieces that make us whole again
Trapped in the abyss waiting for form anew
Slowly filling back in the emptiness
Foreshadowing the rise of spirits and mending of wills
Lost time and life reflect back out from within
Torrents subside and slowly dry
Emptiness for its part shall always remain
As not all the pieces will fit together again.

That's a beautiful poem...

You wrote that? I love writing. :rose:

Does it have to do with your friend that you had to say goodbye to?

Roses are red violets are blue
AAP loves cock
This we know is true
Try and try as he might
to be a normal fag
He still gets owned daily
by the straight guys

we can trade our works of art sometime if you'd like I Havent dug that stuff out in a long time actually since my brother passed away. I went off the deep end and stopped writing. I think it is in my best interest to go on though.
What say you?

I think you should. It is a great way to express exactly what you are feeling through words that you choose. Also it is great to go back and read them later on in life so you know where you have been emotionally. I used to do poetry readings to as many as 300 people, it's a little intimidating at first but afterwards when people come up and tell you what they think of your work or how it made them feel, you get a great feeling of self accomplishment. Also it is a great way to outlet your feelings that you don't ever have to let anyone else see if you don't want to, but by writing it down you have to deal with it on some level.

And I would definitely be interested in seeing some of your writing. It is always good to see how others write.

good stuff bro, I was in pain earlier this week and wanted to write too, but I didn't to wallow in the pain anymore than I already was. I got some good themes and concepts that I wan to work on from it though, but it's going to take a lot of my emotions to get in that state again.

We should bust a weekend poetry thread.

I don't think its a poem man. Nothing rhymes.

Plus the "poetry" sjtick with girls takes too long. Just get her drunk

I would be well into that scene.

Would be nice but I don't have net access over the weekends. :worried:

If I write anything over the weekend I'll post it up though.
