It is high time that someone says deadbeat parents shouldnt have any more children. These poor innocent children do not deserve to be brought into this world and then ushered off to foster care. What kind of life is that? The poor little kids never had a chance. Some people do terrible things to their children, and it is about time that someone did something to stop the taxpayers from paying for their mistakes.

I also think that people who take advantage of the welfare system by continuing to have children to keep their welfare should be stopped from having anymore children.

I commend this judge for what she has done and hope that others will follow.

Sensitive issue. I don`t think it will stick. I agree with it btw but everything can be overdone, that`s why we have the original laws.

Yes it is a sensitive issue, but you need a licsense to drive a car, but any idiot can have a kid. People should be able to have children if they choose, but I feel that their should be a law that states, if the state is taking care of the children you already have, because you dont want to, or you have kids for the welfare then something needs to be done.

In China, you are only allowed by law to have two children. That goes for anyone. So why would it be so bad to enact a law here that says deadbeats cant continue to have kids? That would not punish the good people who honestly love their children, but it would start to weed out the people who use and abuse kids.

lol I`m sounding like the bad guy here. I did AGREE with the first post. I`m just saying it`s very hard to tell people not to have kids because it`s conidered an act of love... shit like that.

I waited many years to have a child because we were`nt financially ready. I don`t know how people just have kids without thinking about it. I guess I`m more of a planner. lol

GL -- that's why you can't see the problem with people like these having kids -- you are a planner and consider having kids to be an act of love. There are people out there that don't think of having kids that way -- at all.

My ex husband worked for a group home were the kids were taken away from their parents. Let's see -- 1 girl's mother let men have sex with her from when she was 9 or so till about 12 in exchange for drugs. Another woman had 9 kids & was pregnant with her 10th -- she let men have sex with her unprotected in exchange for drugs & kept getting pregnant. As soon as she gave birth they came & took the kids away. They were ready to take the 10th one too...... Another woman was a prostitute who just happened to get pregnant so her son was raised in the brothel & abused physically, verbally & sexually til they took him away. I could go on & on....

When you talk to these people they have no feeling for their kids and see having more as a burden or a reason to get more welfare money. But they take the welfare money & use it for themselves, not for the kids.

Unfortunately, if you haven't seen it, you may not know it's out there or think it's isolated. Plus if you don't have that mindset, you may think most people have kids for all the right reasons but sadly, that doesn't happen a lot.....

It's funny -- I don't want kids & took steps to not have them -- and I have people ARGUE with me about it.....Don't you want someone to take care of you when you're older? Don't you want to keep your man? I mean c'mon like those are any reasons to have kids in the first place!
