I don't think so, bro. Your best bet for OTC, cheap gear is to send your friend over here, you'll have more than you need..

I doubt you'll find vet gear or pay a Dr for a script in Italy.
Take a small trip to Istanbull or Greece and you'll be set.

Is it easy for an American to bring gear back to Italy from Turkey?

I don't think there will be any problems in Turkish Customs UNLESS you pack your suitcase with nothing but gear. Anything that looks like big in quantity which maybe used for commercial purposes may put you in trouble as they require invoices, export documents, etc. Any reasonale amount for personal use is OK. Also don't throw away original medicine boxes. Any open amps or pills will draw attention. Turkish Police are after drug (heroine, cocain, stuff like that) addicts, traffickers. They don't give a shit about steroids.
