Every time I travel (driving) - especially on the NJ Tpke & GSP - there's ALWAYS some dumbass from Virginia riding the left lane & WILL NOT for the love of Mike move out of the left lane.

Even riding their bumper, flashing the high beams, etc does nothing...

Are Virginians taught in Driver's Ed that road courtesy doesn't apply to them??

riding my bumper is a sure way to get me to set my cruise control on 55mph

maybe they were driving slow to check you out in the rearview mirror...no offense to virginians but you never hear about anything good looking coming out of VA ;) so you were probably the best theyve seen in a while  :qt:

Uhhhhh, when the speed limit is 65 & you're doing 55mph in the left lane where the travelling speed is 80mph - MOVE OUT OF THE FREAKING LEFT LANE!!!!!!!!!!!

Then your bumper wouldn't get ridden......well, unless you want it to be....

lol..i love to drive as slow as possible when someone is riding my ass..either that or i let them pass then speed up and ride their ass for several miles.

The only way to avoid being run off the road on the GSP is to drive as fast as possible. Those people are crazy!!

If you're on in NYC or LA, please shut the fuck up about bad drivers or driving conditions. I'll trade with you any time.

I just came down 684 south to 287 west (over the Tappan Zee) to the GSP then NJ Tpke.....whew!! I don't know how anyone could drive that everyday..... :worried:

Bahahah I'm from Virginia. I'm not a bad driver, but people in Virginia don't get the point that the left lane is for faster driver. My mom is guilty of it.

Well, it's not that they are bad drivers, per se.........but they will not get out of the left lane to save their life. My goodness!! And EVERY TIME I drive somewhere on a highway, there's someone from VA doing 10mph under the travel speed blocking the left lane....

Tell your mom I said to get out of the left lane... LOL

She pops in these Audio tapes and listens to them and doesn't pay attention at all.

Jen, drivers from VA have a pretty bad reputation. Rumor has it all you have to do is drive around a corner and you pass the Driver's Test. Well, maybe it isn't that easy, but from what I hear it is pretty easy. Which, is why, I'm glad I live here and will be taking my road test this fall. ;)

See you on the road, Jen. :rose:

Yeah, when I took the drivers Education class, the girl in the car with me ran off the road. It's not like she didn't understand the rules of driving, she literally couldn't keep the car on the road. Months later after passing, she was in a single car crash.

That's why it is important to hang some old tyres off the sides of your car before you set out. Just like a boat. Then you don't have to worry about your car getting damaged when you clear a path to where ever it is you are going.

You'd be suprised how fast drivers move out of the way when they see a car covered in tyres coming up behind them at 140.

OMG YES!! I'm more used to the GSP now....don't mind it as much....my hubby won't drive it - makes me drive.... LOL

And I love the people who can't ride the wall - they're all scared in the left lane & nervous....saw a couple of "almost" accidents today....

Plus - why are all these Virginia people even in NJ??????

I doubt its because they went to Great Adventure or the Ikea in Elizabeth. I'm sure they were just driving through it only because they have too.

Maybe they went to the shore or New York or further North.

I think they are out to purposely torture me.....really
