When i was in europe at the net cafes writting emails back home Id have people looking over my shoulder all the time.
especially annoying during IM chats with my GF.
There were no barriers or anything between computers so it was pretty much an other-peoples-bussiness free for all. You could know anything you wanted.
Usually what i did was just type in the instant message

"Yeah, but this bitch beside me what stop reading my conversation"

or just

"Hey stop looking at my screen!"

And theyd jerk there heads forward pretty quickly

yeah that sucks,but what's worse for me is when I'm eating and my dad will role by and get all up in my face to see what I'm eating.It's like his glasses don't give him good enough vision so he won't have to be knee deep in my plate.Just one of many annoying things I will miss once he's gone.

If I were using a full-sized monitor, I'd just do ctrl+alt+del to lock the screen and just start jotting down notes or sifting through papers. I'm sure it'd piss someone off. =)
