My mom is (and always was pretty much to our recollection) a dead fish. Truth is I honestly don't know how I or my siblings got here. My sister moved her family back there last year. I knew the economy sucked but had no clue how bad it really was. The government really sold its people out so yea, the life gets sucked out of them from a young age.

I think my mother just never knew how to be happy. She was the oldest of 6 and was a workhorse her whole life. I know how hard she worked and appreciated every bit of it, though aside from that, she wasn't very pleasant most of the time. I know many people who had a hard life and still never wished anyone ill and who were light-hearted and nice regardless. <--- not my mother, sadly.
