is using the internet "productive"?

I think the Internet ate my brain. If I could add up all the hours I have stared at my computer I can only imagine it could have been spent doing something more productive....like watching TV!!! I mean, we are all technically "reading" while online but sometimes it feels like a waste of time. Then again, being alive seems like a waste of time sometimes. How much time do you guys spend doing something where your actually learning online? I dont think we can count wacking to porn learning can we? I go to allot of sites like Discovery channel and Animal planet but still it seems like time flys by when your online. Remember before we had the net? What did we do? I guess TV huh? Or....Atari, that was fun. I think I am going to turn off my computer and look at one of the things I have that they call "books". Seems like a cool idea.

I don't really use the internet to chat or anything, well...only with my peeps that I already know. And if I'm online I'm going to be reading something. No matter what it is, whether it's an article on gear or on government conspiracies

Technology has wasted my mind altogether. I've had a Visor for two years and all my memory is in it. If I do not write down an appointment, phone #, anything, I forget. Grey mush.

The internet, I surf, kill time, have thought about disconnecting my cable due to the fact and focus more on the things that are around me.
