I agree with The Project. All you need is the book. It's about $18 and change at my local Wal-Mart. Simply eat six times a day with a serving of carbs and protein every meal. At least twice a day add vegetables. The MRPs are just a luxury to help (and that is all they say you need on the basic plan).

Just for the record unless you are competing in the Body-For-Life Challenge, you don't need to get EAS's stuff. You can find just as good products from another company probably for less (especially if you have a Wal-Mart Supercenter near you). Or you can get a good quality protein powder and have a piece of fruit with it. I hear that is how it was done in the old days.

Exactly. While I think BFL is a great program, epsecially for beginners, you gotta remember that it's also very much a sales tool. It's no conincidence that the BFL diet calls for a lot of EAS products.

Just stick with the workout and basic diet. Like MTR said, you can substitute a lot of those expensive supps with cheaper versions or even with regular lean protein meals.

Good luck!!

Totally agree. I did the BFL contest also and it worked wonder for me. (the concept) The supplements are there to help and as long as you are eating 6 times a day, it is all good. I find it challenging at times because I don't hvae all the time and energy to cook or Pre-cook meal EVERYDAY. I personally got the Myoplex Deluxe and the Whey protein. Those two are really what you need as far as supplements are concerned (if you were to use EAS stuff that is, some peoplel like them and some don't).

Fat burners and all that other stuff are nice and help you to preserve muscle and stuff but in my opinion they can be done w/o if cost is a concerned.

Once again, if you have all the time and patience to prepare 6 meals a day, you don't really need to order their supplements. Also, if / when you win, who is there to say that you didn't use their...say...EAS WHEY.

Good luck.

I think all you need to buy supplement-wise is some good whey protein (and you can get that pretty cheap nowadays)... the rest is all about discipline, planning, and hard work. Good luck!
