yeah i know? got a birthday card from my aunt the other day and it took almost 2 weeks to get here.... normally u send something through the mail and its there in a couple days...?

I know today was a holiday but the mail here has been slow for quite awhile now,it's alway's slow during tourist season but this year it's unusually slow. No it shouldn't take 2 week's to get a letter regardless of where in the country it was sent from.

interesting...i didnt thinks so either, but i gotta christmas card returned in the mail in the end of januray saying not enough info... that card was sent out a week before decemer 25... thats almost a month and a half before i got it back...so who knows

presidents day on monday in USA, expect the post office to be slow as shit for 2 days before and 2 days after - that's how they operate

The government runs the mail system - that is why it is slow! They have policies in place that make it impossible to fire lazy employees - they just give them a promotion and stick them in another job to muck things up.

I don't know anything for sure with this matter - but over the last year or so - I've noticed that the Holidays add at least 4-7 days, sometimes more.

The days leading up to a Holiday, I never get shit for mail, and the day after I don't get anything, - then tomorrow it will all start coming in.

But the stuff that comes in will be "weeks" behind..............

It's almost as if an "up-and-coming" Holiday sets certain things 1-2 weeks back.

It's not the employees that back the mail up - it's the whole process.
