Is t3 worth adding?

Just wandering if it would be worth it to add t3 to my cutting cycle. I wanted to do it the first 4 weeks of a 10 weeker. I know the first 4 would go fine, but what about the next 4 weeks after. I guess my real guestion is, is having my thyriod shut down for a couple of weeks worth it on a cutting cycle.
 
You will lose weight faster. I would personally use it at the end of the cutting cycle after you have been dieting for a while. Your metabolism will probably slow down a little after 4-6 weeks of dieting and the t3 will kick it up a notch.
 
I thought about that, but what about coming off everything at once. wouldn't that be a problem. This is what my cycle was going to look like.

weeks 1-10 400mg EQ
weeks 1-4 100mg prop eod
weeks 5-10 100mg winny eod
weeks 1-4 t3 (25mg up to 50mg)
clen 2 weeks on 2 off.
 
I would add it in toward the end. I personally get great results at 12.5mcg/day. At this dose I see no loss of muscle and bf significantly drops. I've gone as high as 75mcg/day, for me I noticed loss of muscle at 50mcg's a day. I think 12.5 to 25mcg's gives your metabolism a good enough kick start. For me there is no need to go higher.
 
The only thing that is stopping me from doing it on my cutting is the recovery and possible life time damage.

I have been told that if I ramp down properly, I used experience no difficulty recovering.
 
I'll tell you, from my experience my thyroid does not seem to shut down when i stay on low doses. When I moved up in dosage, I noticed that it took about 3-4 weeks before I was fully recovered. No permanent damage at all.
 
So you think I should stay low, like 25mg straight through. I have 50 25mg tabs. Should I run it for about 6 weeks, maybe longer. I am really just looking to keep my thyroid up and running strong while dieting, and give it maybe just a little boost.

yea man go for it, i'm doing 25mcg of t3 a day, the only side effect u will have is you will sweat your ass off, thats about it , but it will drop bf like no other. :D
 
You need to be careful when using T3. If I was you I would not use it at all and do more cardio to lose weight.

I don't beleave in taking something to burn calories when you can burn just as much by doing more cardio.

I have taken T3 many times and had some great results, but I have also had a huge crash after.

20mcg's 4 days
40mcg's 4 days
60mcg's 4 days
80mcg's 4 days
100mcg's 25 days

80mcg's 4 days
60mcg's 4 days

Start High Intensity Cardio
 
Gapster you are correct, you can burn more calories by doing more cardio and eliminate the risk of shutting down your thyroid. But T-3 at a low dose not only speeds up your metabolism relatively safely, it also increases the rate of protein synthesis, so if your taking in extra protein there is a higher probability it will get used to build muscle.
Also, the reason why you crashed could be the higher dosage, you were at 100mcg for 25 days then tapered off somewhat sharply. I recommend staying at a low dose straight through and then tapering slowly. At least I can say that this is what works for me.
