Is Super 8 worth seeing on IMAX?

But have you seen Super 8 to make a fair comparison? I just want to know what's worth seeing on a big screen.

Honestly I dont think anything is really worth seeing in Imax. Save the few bucks and hit up an AMC with good digital projection quality.
 
Hangover 2. I hate IMAX, I hate having to move my head back and forth to track stuff on the screen, I should have to move my eyes, not my entire head.
 
You guys are both fuckn crazy.. IMAX is fuckn legit.. It has to be a good ass movie tho. I don't think super 8 would fall in that category..
 
fuck it, unles ur a wallmart shoppin piece of trailer trash on welfare go to the imax. hell go see both movies tonight. ill get stoned by myself all day and watch like 4 movies at the theatre. hangover 2 isnt that great. its got mooments but its basically a recreation of the first one

man nuggas gotta h8. go check out super 8. goto the imax, cuz hangover 2 sucks ass. couple 1 liners but otherwise it is 100% identical to the original. its like a total remake, but with the same actors. starts off with that dude on the phone calling the same chick he calls in the first one. ur not missing out if u wait till it comes out on netflix

I think that's the point, IMAX used to be awesome for it's size AND clarity, now it's only gimmick is the size, and to some of us the size is annoying as you've got a screen wider than your field of vision, and as close as they put all seats to the screen in IMAX, you have to track movement with your head, not eyes otherwise you are only getting the image out of one eye fully as your nose eats up a nice chunk of the eye farthest from that corner of the screen.
 
I don't know wtf you guys are talking about but IMAX 3D is legit.. If the movie is good and in 3D I'll pay out..
 
I know.. Just can't punk out IMAX.. IMAX is good but only if it's 3D.. If not, no point of wasting the extra money.,

I can say the same about in 3D. Its junk. It was cool a decade ago, ok so you get a fee more degrees of viewing area oooooh the seating position usually sucks, you feel like you are 2 feet from the screen (and in some 3D it screws with you if you are that close), and you pay twice as much.

If rather see 3D on a non IMAX screen here for half the price, 4 feet of leg room, and much much more comfortable seats.

Maybe where u go... Where I go it's legit bro.. You must live in Iowa or some shit. Where they don't care about theaters.. They might upgrade your shit in a few years.

No, they just built the newest IMAX screen here at a theater 2 years ago, and when it was brand new it was about 1/4 as good as even the crappy screens in another theater that's been here 6 years... which happen to in fact be the best theaters I've ever seen movies at out of 50+ theaters in 4 states.
 
3d is gay.

Saw Super 8 this afternoon...not great but not bad. Solid *** out of ****.

Those Fanning sisters are talented.
