Is stacking really necessary?

In terms of strength, is stacking really necessary? I've done test only cycles, I've done dbol only cycles, and I've stacked them both. Each time I got roughly the same amount of strength. In my opinion stacking 4-5 steroids in a cycle is pointless. It's just a waist of money. I would like to hear some of your opinions on this.

Is this serious??

Yes, this is indeed serious. I'm speaking strictly in terms of strength here. How much more strength would you get by stacking 4-5 different roids rather than 1,2, or 3?

Necessary - no. Beneficial - to a point yes.

Different compounds can work synergistically to produce an effect greater than the sum of each alone. i.e. 250mg test + 250mg deca may produce greater gains than 500mg test or 500mg of deca. I like this idea since I can take less drugs and get an effect equivalent to higher dosages of a single drug (I seem to be a minority since a lot of guys seem to see this as an excuse to add a 2nd cycle to their first and double the dosage - so duh yeah 1.5 grams makes you grow more than 750mg - go work for fuckin' Nasa).

That being said, there was a time previously (I believe late70's to mid-80's) where everybody was trying to hone in on the 'perfect stack' and dosage patterns. They basically found out that after a point total mg was the deciding factor not the combination of compounds. I think we are entering into this phase again - at least with more inexperienced users - as availability is widespread through the internet.

Now although there is some synergism between different compounds, adding to the number of drugs beyond 2 will see this synergism effect gradually dissipate to where adding a different drug (not increasing total mg) doesn't increase the results. Law of diminishing returns.

I still think there are some good benefits - lower dosages, better retention of gains when switching to a more refined less suppressive anabolic toward the end, and for advanced users switching compounds during long cycles to continue gains which seems to have a fair amount of success although I've never utilized it or seen true proof.

Thanks a lot MadCow, great post.

Thanks - I didn't address it to pure strength though but I believe the synergism properties would still hold. Other benefits might come if weightclass is a concern where test could be used with var or halo.

half the point of stacking is that you can use less of each drug and thus not get the full brunt of their sides. this is why some guys stack 300mg of deca and 400mg eq...at those dosages the deca will not give too many progesterone sides and the eq will not give much if any estrogenic sides. This also goes with orals and liver toxicity...d-bol has a great synergistic effect with tren or test when run at doses as low as 10-15mg a day. If d-bol were run alone it would have to be at a higher dosage.
