Is Ru486 available in the US by prescription?

A close friend of mine is freaking out about being pregnant.. has the FDA approved this drug yet and can she get it at a clinic? If it isn't approved yet, what is the expected cost of a regular early first trimester abortion?

Yes, it has been available for like 6 months.
It can only be used under the direct supervision of a physician and only
for the first 49 days of pregnancy (7 weeks).
Each pill costs $60, and although I usually use one, the recommended dose is 3 pills.
Treatment usually costs $450 andhas a success rate of about 98%.

euhh if you're talking about the same pill I think just come here in Canada ...its about 10$ each...... Communitary health center give them out for free ...
