Is it smarter to get more calories when cycle is over??

I'm almost done with my bulking cycle and I've gained a solid 20lbs with very little water weight. I ate alot, but m,ostly all clean foods. Now that I'm going to be coming off, I was thinking of getting some weight gainer to hopefully bump my calories up for about a month or so. What do you think?
 
yes, and no, if your going to be getting quality calories from complex carbs, animal source proteins, then yes, if your just eating to get calories and maintain then no, reason being when coming off a cycle there is little test left, plenty of estrogen, and plenty of cortisol, with these three factors your body is apt to burning your newly gained muscle, and the estrogen is willing to help store any excess calories and fat as fat, so be careful, excess calories? yes, clean ones? definatley...best of luck
 
What if I remain eating the same amount of "real" foods that I'm eating now, but through a couple scoups of weight gainer in there to bump up my calories to a little higher then usual?
 
well evaluate whats in the weight gainer? a buncha simple carbs? complex carbs? protein? fats? etc...and still whole foods are goin to be best, if you can substitute that weight gainer with a few chicken breats or some tuna, youre always going to be better off, good luck
 
i would up the calories a bit my self. your bigger now your going to need more cals to sustain that Bodyweight and keep the strength gains. once you get weaker you get smaller
 
I would also up the cals but concentrate more on cals from added protien for awhile. You might drop a couple lbs but getting cut up a little is always fun
