Is it possible to "over-do" the creatine intake?

Lately I have been using 3 scoops of creatine powder at a time. The first week I got really great effects and no drawbacks. This week on the other hand has been hell. I've been throwing up and really been hurting to urinate. So is it possible to overdose on it?
 
yes, you can.
creatine isnt magic. your not going to see crazy results. maybe 1 or 2 more reps and a bit harder muscles. nothing dramatic.
creatine is converted to creatinine and excreted through the urine. high concentrations of creatinine can be painful to piss out. think of when you mix creatine with water, it doesnt dissolve very well. creatinine in high concentrations does the same in your body. your pissing out undissolved solids and thats making micro-tears in your urethra.
your probably also very dehydrated, making urine volume lower, increasing the concentration even more.


5grams/day tops, and cycling is a good idea too^^^^^^^
 
With 1 scoop I was only able to make it through 1 20 rep squat set with 315 when I bumped up to three I could get through 4 sets before my legs gave out. And I don't think I got dehydrated. I was putting 2.5 gallons of water in me a day.
 
No, its just regular six star creatine.
I use that and take 2 nitric oxide tablets.

Lay off the creatine for a couple of months. And if your gonna use mono try to get a micronized form. And if you can afford it get nitrate. But I would say lay off for a bit give your body a break.
 
I'm only 3 weeks in to my cycle though. I usually go through it for 5-6 weeks. Could I just cut it back to 1 scoop and continue on?

5g daily is about the max your body can store.

How much do you weigh and height, and how lean are you?

I'm 6' 2 and I can do 15g daily for extended periods without issues.

You are saying you use 3 Scoops at a time? How many times per day?

I'm guessing one scoop is 5 g, so taking 15g at once is your problem.

There's not a person in the world that should have issues taking 10g daily.

Take one scoop twice a day and quit hyper dosing stuff without asking someone with knowledge and experience first.

And if you are as big as you say you are, then why the crap were you looking at taking steroids at such a young age. You are a monster sized kid! No need for that crap dude.
 
I had to use the fat calculator and it always gives a decimal. Sorry.

It's a moot point for this thread anyways.

You are young and very built, you don't need to be looking at hyper dosing anything. Get more particular and disciplined about your diet, and take a good look at your training routines. That's the bread and butter anyways, and will make all the difference.
