it is guardian ma in integral studies an branch of transpersonal pychology... its a hybrid revolving around humanistic psychology/neuroscience/ aspects of eastern philosophy/ and Jungian psychotherapy... its a legitimate ma though, graduate in december, taking a year off and then going to med school... but yup... its as real as it gets.

I wish I were a doc now so I could prescribe you xannies and xyrem, and get some oxytocin release in ya -feelgoodhormone-.

Gotta go here pretty soon and kick it with the so, but ya don't want me as a therapist... one time, while I was shadowing the only shrink who actually taught me something, we observed a borderline patient who had suicide scars, was bulemic, had been abused by a step father, and was screaming profusely how much she just wanted to die, I felt completely helpless, I was definitely wearing vajajajay pants at that moment, thank god the therapist knew what to do, he just like used his incredible presence, just his will or some shit, not academic knowledge, but knowledge as capacity not content, to just cut through the neurotic shit that all 3 of us were cloaked in... he quickly calmed her down. The other shrinks I shadowed had no emotional pulse, no more curiosity in life... I don't wanna be like that. You can't be a shrink and be a nancy to live a fulfilling life, this I learned.

Well I gotta admit that I'm not sure that I could of handled that situation quite so well either. I mean to be able to deal with people whom have been through so much tramma and to be able to keep your cool when nothing else is. That takes some "Cojones"!
