I've got a basic philosophy, if I'm wrong about the way the spiritual world works and the "heaven" camp is right, I'm not dreadfully motivated to spend eternity surrounded by a whole bunch of folks like you. Just sayingJesus was alright but his followers can often be downright snobs (granted, the same can be said of many religious movements).
If the universe was created by a singular intelligence, it doesn't prefer any one species of its creations over the other, never mind preferring one gender over the other, it wouldn't be threatened by spiritual philosophy or sexual preference, nor would it be petulant and cruel. Oh, and it wouldn't have a penis. If anything it would be of both sexes. If "God" created man in its own image then god is both male and female because men can't make babies by themselves *shrug*
Yahweh was an ancient Hebrew tribal god, like any of the other tribal gods. Jesus was human, not a god (personally I think he was an ascended master) and I think a lot of his messages got lost over the years, particularly the messages that threatened the power of Mother Church. I can easily see the council of Nicea sitting around a big table reading scriptures saying "We can't let the peons hear this crap, our tithes will drop and women will want equality. Toss that shit in the fire."
Your narrow minded beliefs have been shaped by centuries of control by a greedy, power hungry organization. The Bible is a contrivance, edited by ruthless humans, the whole religion evolved having over the centuries to perpetuate control through fear. Yes, God would be both male and female, as "Adam" created in Gods' image in Genesis was both male and female. Though there are manuscripts/groups of texts that never did see the council of Nicea, I agree Jesus was definitely human. A lot, but not all Christians are narrow minded and lack any healthy respect for others and their beliefs, or are bible thumpers. The only thing I really disagree with is the assumption that the God I believe in is cruel or prefers men over women. If you ask me, if anything the God I believe in preferred women.
The Genesis account of the woman more favorable than the account of the man imo, lol the first male half of Adam was a pussy, good god it was only a matter of time before he fell. The woman had to be manipulated by the master manipulator and its crazy projections of God. The man...what is his excuse in that story? Lol, then he goes and tries to blame God and the woman all at the same time when confronted, at least the woman takes responsibility. Lol~!
