is anyone here good at tattoo design?

and incorporate it into a tattoo design , in black and white , profile shot? i was thinking of getting that design about 3x3 inches on the back of my left calf. ican someone make it look menacing, yet alluring at the same time? thanks guys.

any good tattoo artist could do this for you, that is part of what you pay them for.. find a good shop, take in some color photos of that picture and see what they can do.

They will draw it out first and if it sucks you don't have to get it.

its both. lion and dragon. its a mythical creature from burma, theyre supposed to guard the pagodas. like the sphinx does for the pyramids.

why black and white? that's something that deserves color. it symbolizes honor and nobility, hook up the color with that!

yeah but the thing with color tattoo is that color fades.. big time...so theres too many chances of 'wear and tear'. so i dont know man... and i am a fan of simplicity and black and white (see my gallery for example).

nah, bro, color doesn't fade like you think. i have some near 10 years old that still look like stickers. it depends on the ink and the needles..........

See if you can find a website for some of your local tattoo shops online. The really good artists should have their portfolios on the web for you to look at. Typically, they will design it for you and revise it as much as needed at no cost as long as you put down a deposit for the actual inking.

i can get it colored anytime right? ill see.. if artists does a design thats worthy of color or not.

gayjock- (LOL best name EVER), i have some CRAZY ASS tattoo shops near my house. dutchman tattoos- the guys a LEGEND. hes wrote books on tattooing. waiting list is over a yr long. his most recent celebrity tattoo? pink. lol. and hes tattooed half the hells angels on the western sea board. this guy is HUGE in the tattoo community.

Sacred heart tattoos- quality exotic designs. not a yr list, but about 2-3 months.

one things for sure.. im NOT going to a franchise for my tattoo. nothing personal, i just want the best of the best to permanently mutilate my skin .

the tattoo community is very close knit. if you leave one place and go to another, they'll wanna know why.... i've had the same guy for the last 7 or 8 years, only way i'll go elsewhere is if he dies.
