I think what this thread has shown me is that I can no longer be described as young anymore, I am post-young if you like
What's so great about be perceived as young?

in what sense?

i was established and successful in business, working long hours, was in a serious relationship where we lived together and i supported her etc. I had alot of responsbility

i'd still party but i definetely lived like someone in their 30's who was married. my life is alot more eventful and less predictable now and i don't have as much responsiblity

I was used to it. I guess when ur young you're full of potential, when you get older a lot of that potential is no longer there because you've gone in one direction etc

When you say business, u mean you were working for yourself?

what was better, the previous life or the one ur living now?

Life is what you make it, most people are not well established 2-3 years out of college. if you're not happy with your life you have plenty of time to do what you want to do, but sitting here and dwelling on shit in a negative way isn't going to get you where you wanna go. Life is short......
enjiy it while you can and work hard towards your goals so that when you are actually old you won't have some long paragraph to write in one of those
"what I regret threads".

i mean i had a career...that i was doing very well at a young age, and had tremendous opportunity till the industry changed. I worked long hours and my life was very predictable, but i was doing well financially

That's a tough question. I like the freedom and variety i have now, but i'd take the financial and relationship stability with someone i love over that now.

If i was still doing well financially AND single...i'd probably be alot happier now than i was then

where did ur cheddar go then?

bottomline is you're young dude.

not young enough to fuck around all the time and not have any direction, but still young enough to enjoy your life and find your path. Alot of my friends are in their late 20's and very early 30's and they live awesome fuckin lives. Half the time i cant even believe they're that age. i figure they're my age. its what you make of it
i know people that are early 20's and live like old men/women.

my goal was to be a millionaire at 30. i dont know if thats realistic anymore, which is why i feel old. but thats just my own expectations. the only reason i feel old (sometimes)

cheers, its good to hear someone actually say it, I believe it too.

I think thats exactly my problem too. I'd like to press pause on the age thing so I could stuff sorted then move on if you know what I mean.

I don't care much for being a millionaire, I'm already privileged but there are things I would've liked to achieved by now, places i'd liked to have went etc etc but think its passing me by or I'm getting too old. Plainly b/s but it could be a self-fulfilling prophecy if one doesn't get on and take action
