is 10 weeks sust too long?

I'm finishing week 6 of a sust 250 (every 4 days) with a dbol jump start weeks 1-4. this is my first cycle and I'm just not getting the gains I want out of the turkish sust I've been using for the past 6 weeks and was considering switching to mex sust for another 4 weeks. Strength is definitely up and I look bigger, but the weight just isn't climbing as fast as I had expected. I'm up about 7-8lbs now, at 172lbs. What do you guys think, too long for a first timer?
 
let's say hypothetically that I had 4 turk sust left and 6 mex sust. any suggestions on how to finish off a cycle with that?
 
Some people will boost there dose late in the cycle to try to get an extra push. IMO you would better off stopping now for 6-8 weeks and save those shots for your next cycle.
Also I'm a big advocate for front loading sus. Next time do 4 shots a week spaced out for the first two weeks, then cut back to 2.
Just my opinion.
 
Bulk, thanks for the response. If I choose sust in the future, I would definitely front load it, but still don't regret this cycle as it was my first. Were you recommending that I save those for a future cycle because of financial reasons? I can afford the next cycle no problem, so that isn't a concern for me. my main concern is health and then getting the most out of my cycle gains wise. With that said, i still feel like I want to get more out of this cycle since I've been poking myself and working so damn hard for the past 6 weeks.
 
I wouldn't run sust for anything less than 10 weeks, but on the other hand I wouldn't run it longer than 12. Also because 100mg of every 250 is test decanoate I would always switch to prop for the last 3 weeks so you don't have to wait a month for post cycle recovery.

Actually I was thinking more about health then money. The sus is going to be active for a month after your last shot.
I have personally found that longer cycles cause more side effects, and gains for me usually stop around the 7-8th week of the cycle.
I've been off for a little over a year with some collective injuries capped off by a dislocated knee. The last two cycles I did before my injury were medium length but fairly close together, maybe 6-7 weeks apart and I got the best results of my life.

when did you start to see gains? I've heard of guys that don't start to see gains until their 6th week. As for sides, so far so good. A bit oily, not bloated at all, libido is kind of up and down, no gyno, oh wait blood pressure is up a bit. i'll post a question about that later.
 
Yeah, I've heard of guys not gaining until their forth or fifth week. Sixth seems kind of long. Right now I'm finishing the third week of a sus cycle. Front loaded 1250mg per week and by week two all my major lifts were going up. This week they all went up again but I also started some d-bol when I first noticed some strength gains. When I used it with out front loading I never saw results for four weeks, and they were never as good.
What Jubei said about using the prop the last three weeks is dead on if you can afford it and find it. You could also use the prop to front load your sus, just depends on what's going to be more economical.
 
I agree with the prop at the end. but i'm actually hoping to use those three weeks after my last shot to gain a couple more lbs.

any other opinions guys? I could use some insight.
 
I say run it and go long.. You could have gained more, it's not uncommon to loose fat with the increased intensity and gain muscle. The % body fat is going to tell a great story than the scale. Without frontloading at your dossage it's going to take awhile to get a usable blood level, but highly dependant on the person. I have found I need moderate to high dossage for a long time to make gains, but I have very little sides as well and I monitor my vitals!
 
that's about the only area I didn't prepare for enough, measuring my body fat. I've never done it before. I just figured, i've never had too much weight, at least nothing a couple salads and some cardio wouldn't take care of.

how should I finish off the cycle, i've got 4 turk sust and 6 mex redi's. I'm ready to switch over to the mex and see what happens. a couple options would be as follows:

1. finish the 4 turk sust on schedule, every 4 days, then go to the redi's
2. go the redis and maybe finish up with the turks
3. mix a turk sust between redis

any opinions?
 
if you dont frontload sustanon (which he didnt) expect your cycle to really start on week 3-4.

once again for newbies, and this should be the 11th commandment:

THOU SHALL FRONTLOAD SUSTANON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:mad:
 
I agree completely with satch, except I believe that good results can be achieved without frontloading sustanon if you kickstart it with dbol. Anadrol would work too but its garbage IMHO.
 
i hear ya satch, lesson learned. I considered the frontloading, but the high doses freaked me out a bit. So what would your recommend i do since i'm already in week 6? first timer going to 10 weeks sound crazy?
 
Sust "kicks" in differently for everyone. I've never had it "work" until week 6, and it's no different this cycle. I'm up 8lbs right now.

I run Sust for 8 weeks. If I can get up to 185 post cycle, this is going to be my last cycle, otherwise I'm going to go with some deca next cycle.

You should either front-load OR use dbol or prop to kickstart the cycle... no reason to do both as they both are used for the same purpose.

As has been said- you should run sust for 8-10 weeks... 6 weeks isnt long enough.

when i didnt fronload sustanon (cause i didnt know any better at the time) is was around week 5-6 when i felt sustanon kick in.

you have two options in my opinion:

1) stop your cycle, recover for 6 weeks, and come back with a mean cycle.

2) continue the current cycle but extend it to a 10 weeker. do a gram on week 7, a gram on week 8, and 500mg on week 9 and 10.

personally, i'd choose option 1.
 
Satch, I noticed the exact same thing. I had no idea what I was doing and just went with 250mg/week for 10 weeks. I didn't notice a "kick" until week 5 or 6. I won't make that mistake again.
 
good news guys, weight is up a couple pounds and now that my shoulder is feeling better, strength gains are way up. I'm going to wait until the end of week 8 and decide whether to continue.
 
10 weeks isn't too long, but it depends on your lifestyle and what you want to accomplish along with what risks you want to take, i stayed on 1 gram of test over 4 months last year, and am going to do the same all summer this year, i'm sure it isn't the best thing on my body, but i keep a check on everything and i have no bad symptoms from previous use at those lengths of time
 
definitely, until I start seeing some sides, which I really haven't. I started to feel a bit agro recently, but nothing a joint wont cure.
