anyone got one of these suckas?...from what i understand is it can randomly select songs from your library and then shuffle them on the player, but you can also shut off the shuffle and play your playlist in order on the player???...99 bucks aint bad considering how small/light it is. You can just loop it around your neck. :supercool

It's not too bad.

There is NO LCD display and no extra settings like an "equalizer" and the transfer speeds can be slow. You can edit the playlist once the songs are on the unit...but for $99...what the hell.

what interests me about is all the reviews say the sound quality is as good if not better than the other IPODS, and its superlight and convenient to carry, very important to me in the gym. ..plus 99 bucks for 512mb is pretty consistent with other mp3 players aint it???

My hubby just got his last week....... he fit over 100 songs on it & you can either select them to play in order or shuffle them. He has problems with the buttons being so small & there is no LCD -- but he likes it. It's as big as a pack of gum -- it's very light. The earphones are the "button" type that fit in your ears & they won't stay in my ears or his.

$99 bucks is a great price.

I mean, the person who buys it puts what he/she wants to hear on it. So, if someone complains that the music sucks...it is their own fault. LOL.

I'd get one...try it out. If it sucks, take it back.

How desperate are you for an mp3 player? If I were you I'd hold out and wait for some more user reviews, particularly people who use it at the gym or to workout.

if the sound quality is good and loud, i think it's worth it.

i wonder how much power it puts out.

i use a rio cali 256mb for running, which cost me ~$140. my main complaint is that it's just not loud enough (unless one uses a pair of 'phones with a really high sensitivity rating).

I got a MP3 player at Costco that I really like cuz I don't like stuff around my neck & mine has an armband -- a feature I love!!

Hubby loves his Shuffle tho, so it depends on what you want for a MP3 player....

I got it at Costco -- for $80 so it wasn't really a name brand.... I bought earphones at Circuit City that hang over my ears -- no earphone will stay in my ears....hate that....
