Hey do any of you have the IPOD mp3 player from apple? I was thinking of picking it up, any good or bad experience with it? the cd player i use for the gym died so i decided to pick an mp3 player up but the cheaper ones dont hold that much songs, so i decided on the ipod. you guys got any input on it? thanks

It rocks, I love mine!

I really don't use it to it's full potential, I only put like 20 songs or so on it at any given time.

There's a lot of alternatives for a lot cheaper. Some are heavier and the interface isn't as nice, but you could get away with paying half the price for the same amount of storage & features.

no, definitely get the ipod. Unless you are using it for warez and such.. you should be good with the 10g... make sure you get one of the new models with the non-moving touch sensitive scroll wheel. I use mine daily and love it. Had a pos Rio one before and it doesn't compare.

my dad has one... absolutely amazing piece of equipment. Worth every penny. i've the the pleasure of using it... its a work of art. Amazing interface, very easy to use, light weight, looks really cool, amazing quality.... go for it bro

thanks bros,
yeah i was reading up on it, while at work and im sold. the 3rd generation ipod with the non-moving parts looks awesome.
thinking of the 10gigs or the 15gigs oh well.....decisions decisions. cant wait to get in now.

Most people love their iPods, from what I've read. But the Nomad players (Jukebox 3 or ZEN) are also well respected. I have also read that some have had trouble with their iPods skipping while running. I would look into that if you plan on running with it.

My friends love their IPODs. You can use it as a Mac hard drive too. One of them can hook it to some tape in their car and play it through the stereo...although most things can do that nowadays (mp3s players, minidiscs etc)

My iPod has never skipped while running, and I run bleachers with it.

I don't have a Mac(although you don't have to have one for an Ipod) and don't have an Ipod but everyone I know with one abosolutely loves them. Best Ipod stories I heard. I kid going into Compusa and download all the software like MS Office and stuff off a computer there onto his Ipod.
