First of all, did anyone else notice that when the bombing started, Jesse Jackson wasn't so eager to run over there anymore. I surprised, I mean... the news coverage was guranteed to triple.
Second, that Omar guy sure is making a hasty retreat isn't he? Surrendering command to two other people. Can you believe that he found two suckers stupid enough to assume command of a doomed effort. That "tough talk" he was doing in the beginning negoiation phase sure seems funny now.
Third, the 25 million bounty on the head of bin Laden has me wondering what CIA dummy came up with this idea. A thousand bucks - well sure - people will talk then, but consider this.... You give someone 25 million over there and EVERYONE will know about it. You can't keep that much money secret. And of course they will live in fear of bin Laden fanatactics killing them and their family. Of course who is to say the U.S. will even pay that much? I mean think about it. We would get the info from the source, track it, kill bin Laden and then not pay up. And what would the individual who squealed do? Complain? Then they would surely be blowing the whistle on themselves.
Fourth, given the options of how this thing will end, I think that a trial is the worse option, as it will make him a saint in his people's eyes. Likewise the U.S. killing him. Instead, I think it would be best if we give the info to the Northen Alliance and let them kill him. That way, it will be a Muslim killing a Muslim and somewhat different that Enemy America killing a hero. Also, we will have the opportunity to say "it wasn't us" on down the road.
Oh well, what are your ramblings on it.
