From an european point of view... Here in Europe women are generally better students than men and are in majority in colleges...
Its interesting to see the Asian´s results... Talk about racism... They don´t care, they just try harder instead of whinning like the black community... And that same community has the worst results... The Hispanics are second generation immigrants, most of them, and already have better results than the black community...

Its a cultural problem... Don´t come talk about racism...

Damn, I thought I was the only black person around here. I grew tired of replying to the racism posts. It's so damn old that it's ridiculous. I'm tired of the shit we have to put up with in our own country. Like I said before, I was more accepted and treated equally in Europe than I have ever been in my own country!! Damn shame!! I have never whined about anything! Never complained! I hate to be labeled with that crap. I'm going to pursue my second degree, I own my own house, I have a nice car and my career as a network engineer just keeps getting better! I just go do whatever I want to do! I'm an individual, dont label me or stereotype me because I'm black.

Yes, some people complain and whine and those people will probably not succeed in life. There are those who have legitimate complaints, like the black employees at Georgia Power. Why does it bother whites so much I wonder. All I ever see here are white people complaining specifically about blacks...no other races. Now, obviously they have personal issues to deal with, but it's got nothing to do with me. I just dont understand why they are so bothered that they have to post something about it several times a week???? Is it that bad??? Get some counseling then or join a pro white group and post on that board. Dont you have a life besides worrying about what blacks are doing?

see in our country if u do badly in your exams the exam boards fix your results to make people feel better

we also have very different difficulty levels, so northern exam boards are easier than london ones in say science, but theres no compulsion to one board....so a college in london can do a northern board.

Dont know what's the problem in America. My wife and I plan to move to Europe in 3 years and raise our family there. I want my kids to grow up open-minded.

What I see are RACIAL posts which provoke intelligent conversation regarding issues that just happen to do with race. He ended up starting his own business (tennis club). He used to live in the Netherlands and now lives in France. I see your point and I agree. I welcome intelligent conversation, but the williams sisters thread is ridiculous. I usually dont mind discussion on racism, but it just takes one ignorant statement to change that around. There are derogatory statements towards blacks on this board and you cant deny it. europes cool like that...london is ok, but up north its actually funny as people will be very concious about trying to not be racist so will hold doors open even if ur at the end of the ciorridor etc.....either that or they're really nice......and the rest are racist.

but europ they are fairly tolerant, ghermans have a problem with turks, austria is getting a bit mashed up but yeah, they seem fairly tolerant. i just get curious as i read so much racially motivated stuff on this board and most of it falls under 'i cant be white.....blacks can do this to us but we cant to them.....you cant say anything bad about black people even though...', always found it odd

On a chat board people are more likely to talk like this. Most people in the states wouldn't dare talk like this in public. Being able to speak anonymously let's people really say what's on their mind.

I think a lot of these people aren't really racists but they've seen a black person use race as an excuse or somehow to their advantage and they just feel the need to vent about it.

The Poor performance is due purley to economic conditions. Compare the results of impoverished black students to those of impoverished white students and they will virtually the same.

You see terrible results in the southern West Virginia appalachian region that is predominatley(90 + %) white and the scores are horrible and the HS drop out rate is over 50%!

It's not a race issue, it's a issue of being able to put food on the table and decent shelter around the kids in order for them to have a basis to build upon.
