Research presented at the American Heart Association's annual meeting indicates dark beer may be better for your heart than light beer. A comparison of Guinness Stout with Heineken showed the darker beer was twice as effective at preventing the kind of clot that can cause a heart attack. To receive the benefit, which is caused by antioxidant flavonoids in the beer, the average person would have to drink 2 12-ounce bottles. However, some doctors argue that the benefit could be negated by the extra calories in the beer.
Soooooo, Slante! and drink up your Guinness, which also has no fat & does have some protein.
