Insulin, using to help load for a contest

Triple H

New member
I've never used insulin to get ready for a contest, but at last year's national's I saw a lot of guys doing insulin back stage. I could imagine it would help load you and make you look full as hell. Anyone have any experience in this area?

Bump.

They do it but it is all about the timing. I would like to hear some expernience also.

another bump.

This is a tricky one, but I think everyone reacts a little different and it is a trial and error thing.

its used ussually only on the day of the show, your glycogen loading should be for 2-4days (number of days depends on genetics). A good place to start is predeplete (obviously, eating 50g/carbs, 50g/fats, 2g/prot/lb of body weight) then loading starts, during loading one should consume 1g carbs/KG (not lb) bodyweight every 2 hours, mixture of complex and simple carbs, minimizing fats and moderate protein intake, on the day of the show insulin is used throughout the day following the same carb intake scheme and right before the show (make sure to have a dextrose drink with you)

I'm doing slin now but on a bulking cycle. Would slin make you more bloated and less ripped looking at the competition? I've never done one before so I would also like to know.

the depletion amount of carbs and timing is the key, if you eat too many carbs carbs when loading you will "spill over" or oversaturate your muscle fibers with glycogen and the rest will go under you skin hence the bloated look
