Insulin works for fast uptake of nutrients into cells, only problem is if your fat to begin with you may be loading up your fat cells with nutrients. I have gotten some great results while bulking. I'm in the process of using it while I'm dieting, in order to make a quicker descent into ketosis. I'll keep people posted on how that works out.
When bulking I use 1 I.U./15lbs of lean muscle mass. I take my injection before I work out... I know.... people will regurgitate shit they read in magazines that you should take it when you get home or when your 30 minutes from finished you workout.... but before my workout just works better for me. That way, by the time I'm done jacking steel and back at home my insulin level is ready to peak; making it easier to stuff my muscles with post-workout carbs and creatine. Be careful and remember your carbs.
I use the formula of 5 grams of carbs for every I.U. of insulin. Plus, whey protein, plus creatine. This my sound like too little carbs, but I do it 3 times. Immediately when I get in the door and than once an hour. It works for me. I find less fat accumulation with this formula. you can use upwards of 10-15 grams of carbs/ I.U. of insulin.
