Nelson, not sure how much you know about insulin, but I've always been under the impression that you have to eat low fat as with insulins "shuttling" abilities, any fat you eat will be gained gram for gram on your body? Is this true? I've run insulin many times before, but because I tried to eat clean, I dont think I was eating enough calories to grow. This time I am thinking of running it along with the high fat diet I am currently running

I don't have personal experience with slin since I don't think it's practical for everyday bodybuilding purposes but I understand you're a competitor and it's an undeniable addition to the arsenal.

I would fall into the catagory of "all too ubiquitous inexperienced internet expert" (which I hate) if I were to give the best way to use slin, but just using my knowledge of biology and common sense, it would seem that it would not be in your best interest to use it whie in a calorie deficet.

The whole point of slin is to keep blood sugar levels under control. If you take slin, you can take in more carbs, both utilizing them for energy and "shuttling" sugar to the muscles instead of being stored. It stands to reason that by cutting carbs, you're negating the purpose of the extra slin. This is also another reason why you need extra carbs to grow. Carbs release insulin. That's why you tend to look "flat' when carbs get too low.

An interesting side note: Slin is in some ways the opposite of GH. Slin absorbs carbs, whereas GH burns them. (That's a simplistic explanation, but it'll do for now).

The only reason to use exogenous slin would be to gain extra weight that has become impossible after roids and maximum calories and maximum work load have been implimented. It takes your natural "size limit" to another level. In other words, it's a last resort of adding more mass at any cost -- which is why I have to laugh when guys who weigh 180 pounds want to use it. (Ever hear of the pancreas?!)

As far as the gram of dietary fat adding a gram of adipose fat while on insulin... I've never heard of that before, but it sounds ridiculous.

Hope this helps. Good luck, and be careful.

thanks nelson, it does help. I am at that point now where even on heavy cycles, eating 450 grams of protein a day and god knows how many calories, I am having a bitch of a time gaining more mass. I have a lot of experience with slin, but like I said eating clean just doesnt seem to yield enough calories to grow. So I think I'll try my current fairly high fat diet along with the slin, and see if it helps
I am also running 5iu of jintropin and 25mcg of t3, so hopefully that can offset any fat gains

How exactly will you be running the slin? Two times a day? Also, what do you plan to eat following your injections... I would be curious to hear.

I plan on using slin and Kexing Gh in a few months. I am going to use Humalog 2x a day at 5 iu (to start). I plan on ingesting 100-150 grams of Malto, Dex and Oatmeal with 60-65 grams of fat free protein along with BCAA's, Glutamine (10 grams) and Arginine (5 grams).

I am curious how you ran it and what your plan is now...

I came up with my own gh mix, I was running 1/2 humalog and half "r" post workout, then 2-3 hours later another shot of "r", which would pretty much take me to bedtime. Last time i tried to keep it clean, so I was eating cottage cheese, skim milk and sandwiches every 1.5 hours after the shots, but it wasnt enough calories. I did find it was easy to go hypo with the "r", so I started throwing in gatorade with each meal too, and that seemed to do the trick. This time I will still eat every 1.5-2 hours, but no worries about eating lean

needsize,I'll put this in layman's terms for the bro's reading. Dietary fat (unless of course you cloned yourself and ate the fat tissue from the clone) is not the same as your body fat, and will not just "deposit as bodyfat" due to the insulin shuttling it in. Once your glycogen stores are full (or the insulin sensitivity of your adipose tissue exceeds that of your muscle tissue) are larger proportion of it will be shuttled to your fat cells. Blood glucose will be transported and converted into adipose tissue just as easily as fatty acids once this happens. The key to not gaining excessive amounts of body fat while on insulin is to eat enough excess calories to gain muscle mass, but not to over eat, and to keep one's insulin sensitivity as high as possible in one's muscle tissue. The best ways to do this are to eat a clean diet, make certain you get enough EFA's, and make certain you are using a fairly large amounts of AAS (this is necissary to make this work properly, which is another reason non-competitors should avoid insulin). This also means eating a clean diet. Watch the high GI carbs. You are better off loading large amounts of lower GI carbs in frequint feedings, and limiting others to just after injecting. Avoid other foods that reduce insulin sensitivity such as trans fats.

One other group that uses insulin like mad are skinny tour de france cyclists. They use slin to repair and rebuild mass rather than deca or test. this slin wont slow them down (block them) like test or deca and after 8 hours of riding muscles are extemely insulin sensative..
