Insulin question 1mg=?ius?

What's the simple formula conversion when it comes to this conversion.

I got 1mg/ml Long acting IGF1 in 1 vial.....how do I divide into workable Ius.

I know I should have bought a kit right, simplified things alot.

My guess is 50ml of Sterile water...it would equal 5 vials of IGF1 and 5 vials of mixing solution.

ANy help would be appreciated.

Instead of asking on here, why not do a search on the "internet", I'm sure there is plenty of info on it. Would you really risk some conversion number a random guy on a steriod board gives you? You can die from an OD of insulin.

Found the answer.....

All insulins come dissolved or suspended in liquids, but the solutions have different strengths. The most commonly used strength in the United States today is U-100. That means it has 100 units of insulin per milliliter of fluid. Not used in this country, but still used in Europe and Latin America, is U-40, which has 40 units of insulin per milliliter of liquid.

IGF LR3 is not insulin.

and the dosages are measured in micrograms.

1000 mcg - 1mg

is this lypholized powder we're dealing with here or pre-mixed?

ok, well, I believe there are Ph issues when reconstituting this compound. Something to do with adding HCl. Plus, its highly fragile, so great care has to be taken when mixing.

I'll try and dig up more about it,

And you would be right in what you stated. I do believe I ordered the wrong thing.

I was looking into insulin Not IGF-1
