injections and blood

my wife is a pediatrician so she is very experienced with giving injections.when she gives me mine she z tracks,and aspirates.no blood comes back into the barrel.but after my shot when she pulls out i bleed like a stuck pig?is that normal? she says its from small capilaries. anyone else have this experience?

i might be possable that the pin went thru the vein and out the other side so when you asperated the needle end wasnt in the vein, but when she pulled it out the blood had a direct path out.

she injects in my upper outer quadrent.but on either cheek i bleed alot after the injection. im a big guy dont know if that has any bearing?

couldnt tell ya, i know i have pricked a vein and it bled out the hole had to hold a towel on it till it clotted

if you get oil into a vein is it definatly death?

from what i understand it takes atleast 3cc's of air to cause any damage, as far as oil in the vein i guess i dont know exactly what happens but i doubt its death, that is where the aspiration comes in

ya she aspirates all the time,i make sure,lol

i hurd that oil will travel around in your blood stream untill it finds a place to stop,and that it usually causes stroke. man! its scarey just knowing that some guys i know just stick and shoot? they dont aspirate.they say they been doin it that way for years? lucky!

try removing the pin slowly (about halfway through stop and wait a minute) then remove the pin entirely. this should help any blood coagulate and prevent your gear from leaking out.
