I read somebody else's thread about accidentally injecting into a blood vessel and was wondering if you would most likely die if that happened? Is there any way to prevent that? THANKS

Have not had this happen but you will not die. You could aspirate to avoid this problem.

you won't die.... to prevent it you aspirate... pull back on the plunger a bit and watch for blood, if none... then your all good.

Although I highly doubt someone here injected into a blood vessel and came to tell us about it, you should still aspirate just to be safe. Remember, better be safe then sorry.

No seriously this is no joking matter. Aspirate. I don't aspirate when hittin my glutes cause I know the sweet spot but in my thigh -ALWAYS!

I injected into my delt wrong & must have went through an artery or something about a month ago. but didnt hurt, the next day my whole delt below the spot was bruised - then the bruise actually dripped down (beneith the skin) to my tricepts. If this happens to anyone - use the heating pad to get rid of the bruise! -- scary shit!

you would just throw up everywhere, get light headed, dizzy, you that kind of stuff. If you hit a vien your going to have problems, an artery just get a big bruse.

Aspiration is key, but it doesn't always prevent this from happening. Nothing is guaranteed.
