I read how one bro was having the same problems that most people complain about re: **
Pain, swelling, etc.
I didn't quite grasp his initial post so I asked him to clarify, and this is what he said:
"Sorry, I jsut re-read my post, and it looks like I was on crack when I wrote it
I mean I tried running the syringe under hot water, but with no success (i.e. I was still in pain for a few days after the shot.) The next week, I place the syringe containing my shot (with needle) in cup of boiling water, then when the oil was the same temp. as the water, I turned the syringe upside down, and the BA ran out through the needle. Once I had gotten rid of all the BA, I took the shot, and voila...no pain
hope that clears it up"
This suggests to me that it is indeed the high concentrations of Benzyl Alcohol that are responsible for the adverse reactions. By submersing the syringe in boiling water and allowing it to heat up to the point roughly equivalent to the ambient water temperature. This seperated the BA from the oil, and as he said, there was "no pain".
