Initial CKD Changes

I was just wondering from all the people who have been successful with the CKD diet, what were some of the intial things you started noticing when beginning the diet? Things that you noticed that let you know you were doing the right things.

Ive started my diet today, and am looking forward to changes in the coming weeks. Thanks

lethargy, extreme thirst, sleepiness, difficulty focusing...but that only happend to me within the first few days

Didn't have too many problems - as long as you keep busy and focussed on other things.

You won't believe it but in the first 2 weeks I lost 18.5lbs - That's right, with hardly any mussel loss. I was carrying a lot of fluid as I'd just finished a bulking session.

Week 3 and 4 losses were more moderate at about 2lb per week.

whoa, sweet. Hope I can pull that off.

I found that weight fluctuated, but was always down in the mornings when I would weigh on an Emtpy stomach devoid of food and water. I also noticed that I drank so much water that I always had to piss, but was still thirsty, drinking around 200 ounces water per day.

I also found that if you increase fat during the first few meals, you feel full longer, then decrease fat during the last few, and just have self control the last 2 meals or so.

It's not easy...my mind starts making rationalizations of why carbs are good for you. This is my first week, and I'm feeling a bit weak, and really sick of protein rich food.

on the Atkins the biggest problem for me is keeping hydrated, i drink upwards of 2 gallons of water a day. then the constant pissing. and also finding good food to eat all the time. never got headaches, had a few nights where i had trouble falling asleep though.
