Good topic this relates directly back to consumers and the need to drive down prices are people willing to pay a premium on products so North Americans can have jobs? Doesn’t appear so.

the outsourcing thing comes to mind, of course. perhaps you can focus, or at least mention, any reverse trends which involve IT work coming back to the US because, in some cases, it makes more sense (i.e. costs less in the long run) to pay more for better work done in the first place, as opposed to paying less for building some crap and then paying extra to have it fixed later on.

I will dedicate a portion of the paper to the reverse outsource aspect so as to have more to write about.
