I'm going to see them July 3rd in San Antonio.
I like thier unique style, and Boyd's voice is good live. I have never seen them live, but have a DVD of a live show, and they seem like they throw it down at there shows.
I have liked Incubus for a long time, I have all four of their albums. Even Fungus Amongus, which is total hiphop, mixed with a little regae.
All thier albums are different, and still maintain their same style, plus they have some meaningfull lyrics, which is always good.
Incubus rocks!!!!!

Creek stained high tops.....hahahahahahahahahaha....that is so fucking true. When I was growing up, we had nice Tennis shoes we wore to school....when we got in, we put on our(as my Dad called them) " Tenner Shoes "..... These shoes were the shit Bro....Made by Old Man Tenner himself with alot of added extra's....such as, a hole in the end of the shoe so your big toe would stick out. This way you could grip the rocks and keep from slipping when you waded creeks....or climbed trees so you wouldn't get cuties from girls...heh heh heh
Another nice addition was they had knots all through the shoe laces where you tied them back together...you never had to unlace them all the way, slip them on, tie them up, and you were ready for football, basketball...whatever you had planned for the day.....
Old Man Tenner must have died, haven't seen a pair like them in years....God I miss my Old " Tenner " Shoes....

hoobastank is the first in a wave of baby Incubus bands the labels will cram down your throats. I think they suck but oh well. Incubus is great live, saw them open for the Deftones(who I like allot more than Incubus) and they blew the Deftones away. Of course the tones have a rep for sucking live- too much alchohol I think. Anyway, I just cant get into the new Incubus album, I love make yourself, very good lyrics-very motivating, but come on- how could you actually put out a song called "wish you were here"- I mean, I would name it something else and change the chorus. I guess their core audience never listened to Pink Floyd anyway so they wont notice. Brandon has changed since make yourself, allot of people have been noticing it. I personally think the new record is pretty much one long pop-ballad...made to make them more money which is sad because the last record showed allot of promise. Just my opinion. I will go back to listening to my Helmet CD's now. HELMET ROCKS!!

you mean, they were a good solid band. the earlier albums 'enjoy incubus' 'fungus among us' and 's.c.i.e.n.c.e' were good c's but the followup to science was fucking horrible. that cd brought the whole TRL crowd which eventually led them to becoming soft and writing songs and love and ex girlfriends and shit. their new shit sucks a big fat one, but their old albums are very very good. thank you mtv for ruining another good band.
on a side note, did you know sugar ray used to be a hardcore band? it's true. but they to pulled an incubus.

Agreed, Incubus is a very solid band. I saw them last October in New Orleans and they fuckin tore it up, they're badass live. They're coming back again right around my bday in July. I think Im gonna go check it out again. Their style has changed somewhat, but this happens to all bands inevitably, and I personally like the change. I think Make Yourself is a better cd overall than Mourning View, but they're both high quality shit.
Actually the only album by them I would consider to be really good is Make Yourself- the early albums were trying to be Faith No More in a big way and then all of the sudden Brandon got his own voice. I wouldn't consider them hardcore at all- their early albums were still no where near hardcore. Go listen to early Deftones- big differance.As for Sugar Ray- they were punkish, not hardcore. Its funny how people make fun of Sugar Ray for being a flash in the pan band yet they have at least 3 hits per album. By the way, keep an eye out for Vex Red, they are a UK band that rocks! They actually sound original as opposed to 90% of the lame Incubus wannabe bands out there. Pressure 4-5 is bad ass also- cool guys. As for the rest of the lame bands around->Die rap-rock DIE!!!!!
