Increased red blood cells.

EPO acts as a signal for the bone marrow to increase the rate at which red blood cells are made and released into the circulation (this can be measured as the reticulocyte count). The increase in number of red blood cells leads to an increased oxygen supply to the tissues throughout the body. This oxygen rich blood then acts as a signal to the kidneys to stop producing EPO keeping the hematocrit within the normal range.

Synthetic EPO has been made by inserting the human gene responsible for EPO into a cell within a laboratory and then stimulating the cell to produce recombinant EPO (r-EPO). r-EPO was developed by pharmaceutical companies for treating patients with kidney failure, or those undergoing cancer chemotherapy. R-EPO assists these patients in raising their hematocrit and oxygen carrying capacity, ameliorating the symptoms of their chronic disease. Early clinical trials showed that r-EPO is capable of increasing the hematocrit (index of red blood cell level) by 3-4% over 3-4 weeks.

It is documented that the endurance process is improved in athletes with an increased red blood cell level, and thus an increased oxygen carrying capacity. This occurs whether the red blood cells are increased via transfusion, or artificially with r-EPO. Improvements in performance are greatest about 3 weeks after r-EPO injection.

I was going to run EQ @ 200mg a wk... for 10wks for endurance only... to keep to RBC count a little high..... I thought 200mg was a good place to start???

B12 - Injections

I do not know the science behind it, it was a year ago when a friend of mine got me started on daily B12 injections. I have a marked increase in my baseline blood volume from using it, it is consistent whether I am natural at the time or not.
When I am natural it seems to have an effect on endurance and blood volume. When I am not natural it sends my blood volume higher than drugs alone. I get my blood tested every once in awhile and yes B-12 has effects if used in large doses daily.

I do not have any medical conditions, such as anemia so I am convinced it works. They have to do real research about the effects of large doses of B12 on blood volume.

As for bad effects, I notice a tight out of space chilling feeling in my body sometimes. It is worst when combined with anabolic drugs, the doctor told me, it is because of the thicker blood, other than that I am growing like a weed 8).

Alright here is your answer to the bad sides, as I ran into this problem about three years ago and had to take some serious time off.

1- to many red blood cells can mean to thick of blood. It is what makes you more vascular, increases stamina and endurance. Bad part is your blood can become so thick it is like sludge. I had to have a unit of blood drawn a week until the gear finally cleared my system. Do you know how much blood a unit is? Probably not a clue. There is a happy medium to maintaining vicosity to your blood. Blood pressure changes can also be a problem. To much workload for the heart another obvious problem.

The drugs that can be a problem are Anadrol, Dbol, Eq and for me HGH was also a culprit. The orals of course clear faster. Eq is great but is does stay in your body for the longest.

I just say be careful and pay attention to your body, it will give you the signs.

Olyfit...

Thanx bro... Yeah I have a clue to how much a unit of blood is..lol
I know the downs to EPO thats why I was asking about other AAS...
From my research EQ seemed to be next in line for endurance and RBC.

But you make a valid point about EPO..... I would want to be under a Dr's care the entire time I was taking it and even then it doesnt seem to be worth the risk. I would say that EPO is in some way connected to the raise of deaths in the cycling world... what 15/16 deaths in the last few years... NO EPO can not be a direct link, but common sense is a direct link.

Than again...

I am not refering to EPO. I am not a cyclist. I am an ex college athlete, powerlifter and now just staying in shape. I am just telling you the most likely AAS' to red blood cells. Never tried EPO and sorry if you misunderstood me. Good to know you know what a unit of blood is, because if your not careful you will find out the hard way. Talk about feeling like shit for a couple days after. try losing an zip loc size bag of blood once a week.

Best of luck.

I've always heard EQ, but I don't know for a fact, as in tests or anything. I don't know a thing about epo though

200mg EQ once a week to low if ran alone??
For endurance....

I think that would be a good dose to start with. U can always adjust the dose if it's not what u expected.

Thanx MAXX.....

Thats what I am getting , that 200mg is a good start and go from there...
Ill put up a post and the endurance results from 200mg a wk soon.
