In desperate need of your help

I'll try to keep this as concise as possible. When I was 18 a "friend" at my gym said he would hook me up with some roids. So, what I ended up getting was 500mgs worth of Russian dbol that I ran alone for roughly five weeks in some sort of odd pyramid fashion. I didnt make incredible gains and I got a slight amount of water retention all of which I lost within a week or two after stopping, no PCT was done as my buddy told me it wasnt necessary. Since that cycle I have not touched anabolics as I dont consider that they are right for me. Fortunately to this day there is no sign of glandular gyno and I still have a full head of hair so I am happy in that respect. But now at 24 I have this nagging feeling that I may have stunted my growth. Let me mention that before using the dbols I had done some research. Most of the research on the net points to the "possibility of stunting growth of longitudinal bones" Now I know that at 18 you've pretty much reached your adult height and at 5'10" it's not my height that I am at all concerned about (slightly taller than father and brother). Rather it is my shoulder width that concerns me now. I still fill out a t-shirt the same way I did when I was 18. Some of the research I have done since on the forums points out that all epiphyseal plates are at risk, including the clavicle (primarily contributes to shoulder width). Right now my shoulders measure 17 inches wide bone to bone, not including width added by deltoid muscle, not that I have much anyway. My respective biacromial diameter measures 16 inches which is considered relatively average according to growth charts I have consulted. However I have developed a severe case of dysmorphia, feeling more narrow than average and the thought that I did this to myself is bothering me severely. I'd like to be able to reassure myself that I am over reacting. I even visited a doctor to consult his advice and wouldnt you know it he didnt know jack about roids whatsoever, thanks doc. I believe my best resource would be an endocrinologist, but in my present situation that would be very expensive for me, but I'll consider it. Maybe someone here has talked to an endo about this maybe? I've talked to people about this and they tell me I look fine, but it's not enough so I need the help of people with true experience, you guys.

So what I would like from the community is pure anecdotal evidence from you who may have experimented with dbol when you were about that age or had buddies that did and your personal beliefs on how you feel your skeletal frame finished off in the next 5 or 6 years. I understand that I may be looking for a needle in a haystack, but I figure dbol is popular enough amongst young people who choose to juice so there's got to be at least one. However finding one of these guys who abstained thereafter might not be so easy. Any information and or advice is appreciated and please dont hold back the truth and do not sugar coat this. I need as much information as possible so that I can hopefully make something good out of a bad experience and use this for educational purposes. Thanks brothers.

Honestly, I dont think 1 cycle of dbol for 5 weeks has done that to you. Yes you were too young to touch AAS, but alot of the reported problems that comes with teenagers and stunted growth is their continual use of AAS...not a one time use...could be just genetics. Just the way your shaped.

btw - 500mgs over 5 weeks is like 14mg per day.

lol

your issues are more likely to do with genetics (blame your parents) than dbol.

That's a long post bro. I seriously seriously doubt that you stunted anything by using DBol. That has been a drug of choice for many many years dating back. I personally have used it at a young age of 20 and to be quite honest with you I put on some pretty hefty size stacking it with Sust 250.

I have friends who have used this drug with little or no side effects even from a 16 wk cycle that I strongly advised against. I think you have developed an infatuation with this dysmorphia that may be more mental that physical. Although there can never be enough doctors visits to ensure a health lifestyle I honestly beleive you may be over reacting.

Let's see what others post but to cheer you up here's a little K for your diet as it doesn't look like you have much to feed on LOL..

i was 6'4" till i was 25, between 25-26 i grew to 6'5".... you dont stop growing when you are 18. If i were you, i would run a 6 month HGH cycle with a 10 week test cycle :)

Relax GGG. Growth during maturation is largely modulated by androgens which increase longitudinal bone growth during the pubertal growth spurt. Yes, it is true that too-early administration of AAS can result in premature fusion of the epiphyseal plates, and in so doing "stunt" your growth. But the vast, vast, majority of plates are fused already by age 18. Your one little cycle did not mess this up. However, it's for this reason I don't think anyone should take AAS before 21.

I agree. I find it interesting that when people use steroids recreationally and then if something happens or goes wrong they always want to blame it on AAS. It still drives me crazy how much negativity surrounds AAS use! :chomp:
