Importing to the UK

i'm noticing that most supplements are literall half the price or less in the US than in the UK, so am considering ordering them online from a US company.

however, are there any UK people here (or anyone else who knows) how much customs duties i'd have to pay? would it be per pound of weight or...?

obviously there's no point ordering "cheaply" if the price will be made up to the UK equivalent through customs charges and royal mail surcharges!

I live in London. Its a game of hit n miss with customs.. if your unlucky they will charge.. but they dont charge every time. The main downside with ordering from U.S, is how long it takes AND the postage costs. Always check the postage options. Generally speaking, the more it costs, the quicker it will be.
