damn, that cant be good. USPS usually cant/wont open packages, dont know about UPS though...

Domesticly i would'nt worry one bit ... international shippments thru a corrier they usually want to inspect the contents of a package before it's sealed and accepted so thats not so great .

From what I read theres a couple of major airlines that have either lost their contract with the USPS or decided not to renew it. Im not sure how that will effect your delivery.

Guys, this has been going on for years, they just made it public. UPS and FedEx both hate the USPS been battling for years, the USPS puts it's mail on every passenger plane worldwide, from what I know about UPS they could give 2 shits about the cucstomers of the USPS they only care about their customers, I wouldn't worry one bit, they are just middlemen.

thanks for the info bro, This cant be good at all....BUT I really cant see this deal going through....Think about it, the amount of money that will be lost and imagine how many fuck ups well see with packs if this happens, hell the USPS doesnt know where any given pack is at any time of the day let alone if its with them or UPS and where. I really hate the USPS, they lost my ISSA Certification when I had it done awhile back, I next dayed it and went through this long process of them trying to locate it, all in all they didnt find it and I had to retake the test and obtain another copy of my CPR Cert too,,,,I have never had a problem with UPS, the only thing is they are way too costly....Otherwise I would use them 100%....AS ive used them many times in the past with no probs, I did know the owner but still, they do care about their customers..

I have a home based Electroics import company i get packages from UPS USPS, and fedex And dumb ass DHL .....DAILY I have shipped stuff with UPS back overseas to china and they never gave too shits what was in side they just wont insure the package for that much if they dont pack it, they have deliverd shit to me that look like the plane ran over it they dont really care

The law for the mail is still the same, UPS will not be able to open packages without a postal inspector, etc.

It doesn't matter. When you send something USPS the laws governing USPS apply to that package no matter who is flying the plane.

i worked in shipping for years... if anything your better off with UPS..
they dont care whats in the package..and would never waste money and man power looking for packages that my contain illegal drugs...

the only packages they open are if the package is damaged serverely and the contants my fall out.. in that case they will keep the goods and call you asking for an RA and they will pay you a minimum of $100(higher if you buy insurance above $100) for your goods if you show an invoice or receipt..
the other time they will open a package is if the label falls off.. in that case they will open the box looking for a return address or delivery address on a packingslip or invoice..if they find non they leave the box in a lost and found section weere it will sit upto 6months waiting to be claimed.. if no one claims it they keep the contents..

Yeah, how can you read so much into that article? It never said that the US Constitution and the Bill of Rights would no longer apply because the USPS was paying UPS to fly some of its airmail.

Bro, there are sooooo many packages that flow thru a UPS hub, the only time I ever heard of them having xray equiptment was at a border and that was customs not UPS.
