Important Customs Question

I placed an order with our Chinese friend and when i went to track it at www.usps.com, the message i got was "order being process by U.S. Customs". Is this anything to worry about or does this message pop on every overseas package coming into the country? I ordered the gear express and placed the order last Saturday so it should be in Today or tomorrow.

As long as the status is "in transit" don't worry. Every package has to go thru customs but not every one gets inspected.

If it stays in the processed by customs status too long than it's either seized or stolen. The post office has a nasty habit of stealing stuff by not scanning it back in after customs is done. Just ask customs as I've done, the post office likes to lose & steal shit!

I hope for your sake you were smart enough not to have it sent to your house.

My b/f had a friend who did that and they tracked it and when it got to his house they arrested him.

as of right now it been "proccessed by U.S. Customs" for over 24 hours. this definately seems a little extreme to me. for anybody with experience...should i just not sign for it and take the loose?

What the hell would you have to sign with USPS???

you have to sign for it, because its mailed express mail. correct if i'm wrong but you must sign for express.

Ther was a post about this a while back, but not with USPS and everything went through fine. I don't think you have anything to worry about.

the sender can waive the signature. 24 hrs. is not that long in Customs. Longer than two days I would start to worry. And if it is a small amount and they do find it chances are you will recieve a certified letter from customs telling you they have your stuff and for you to come and get it. LOL. At that point right it off. Then they will also have a flag on your addie for future international packages. I lost 50 sust to Customs this way, it sucks.
