Immigration Alert !!!!!

PLEASE KEEP UP THE HEAT ON THE WHITE HOUSE & CONGRESS It will be a SHOWDOWN this month over amnesty for illegal aliens as President Bush meets with Mexican President Vicente Fox in Monterrey, Mexico for the "Summit of the Americas." It is expected that Bush will formally support the McCain/Kolbe/Flake "guestworker" bills (S. 1461 & H.R. 2899) which could eventually lead to amnesty for 8 to 12 million illegal aliens -- and bring in millions more!

Please keep up the pressure on the White House and Congress by expressing your opposition to ANY and ALL amnesty, guestworker or "regularization" proposals that will legalize illegal aliens. * Call, Write, Fax & E-Mail the White House! Please tell the President -- NO AMNESTY for illegal aliens!
Click here ---> http://www.citizenslobby.com/president.htm

Call Karl Rove, Bush's senior advisor, who is often the culprit behind many pandering proposals on immigrants and "Hispanic voters." Phone #202-456-5587 -- AND/OR call the office of White House Chief of Staff Andrew Card at #202-456-6798.

Contact the Bush-Cheney '04 Re-Election Campaign. Remind the President that your vote in 2004 hinges on his actions over illegal aliens and border security. Make clear that your vote should not be taken for granted!
E-Mail--- [email protected]
You can also call this # ---> 703-647-2700

Contact your members of Congress. Tell your Reps. and Senators to vote NO on S. 1461 & H.R. 2899!

from today's washington post:

http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/articles/A60529-2004Jan6.html

"President Bush will propose today an overhaul of immigration laws that would grant temporary legal status to millions of undocumented workers in the United States and their families as long as the workers can prove they are employed, a senior administration official said last night. "

"The temporary workers would receive Social Security cards and would be eligible for driver's licenses in most states, officials said"

We need to stop the continued deterioration of our 1st world society. This type of legislation will only open our country up more and more to the turd world invasion.

Do you want your home town to look like a Mexican shanty town or favala? The roman empire collapsed by the very same forces that are eating away at the US. History WILL repeat itself unless we act to stop it now.

Also, this type of action from Bush should underline to everyone that he does NOT have the best interests of american at heart.

I'll stick this for you, Hengst.

Matt - thanks for making this a sticky. CNN has a poll going on at the moment regarding this topic. At present 65% of the respondents are against these proposals. Unless us Americans make our intentions known to our congressmen the current administration WILL shove this down our throats.

True.

I actually was watching CNN this AM while I was doing cardio. They wer reading the viewer emails - there was one pro immigration email and like 90 agaijnst it.

I don't think too many Americans want amnesty. I would support a better thought out and regulated immigration policy the reduced bureaucracy, but this is crazy.

I'm not gonna agree or disagree with this, but the fact that it is a sticky is ridiculous.. this is not a Republican board is it?

Consider it extra stuck for our San Diego friends.

so how much of this opposition is fueled by racism?

i wonder how many will actually get amnesty because of this law. i don't think too many will apply for amnesty since many are paid under the table and wouldn't want to start being taxed to become legitimate.

This will make absolutely no difference on any of our lives whatsoever.

That's because you probably do not produce enough welath for yuorself to feel the increased tax burden of legilsation such as this.

If you aim for a blissfully ignorant and un-special life, you are correct.

Good luck to you sir as you go on down that well-trodden road to mediocrity.

Ahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha.... Dear Lord, am I dreaming ? Is this the United States of America ? Guys, you should consider Canada, after all things aren't that bad over here...

That's not true. If this legislation is passed, it will result in downward wage pressure.

That means you are going to get poorer.

If you are at all concerned with your (and your children's future) standard of living you must not be ambivilant towards this issue.

This is one of those things that makes me go WTF? Because it goes against every basic platform of the Republican Party. Except for one. More Wage Slaves for rich white people.

Seriously I'm surprised Unions are not over this one cause historically, immigration laws (especially concerning illegal workers) came after intense unions' lobby. They're actually the ones who have the most to lose with this new legislation...

Just another reason for me to leave california to a place far away from any border

Whiskey

This has a very far reaching impact.

This doesn't even seem real, How can anyone think that this is a good idea???

This is an American issue, you feminized traitor bitch!

amnest was offered in 1986 and it was suprising to me back then to learn peoples legal statis. Any day of the week you could drive down Alvorado St. in Los Angeles at 6:00 am and purchase a Social Security number for $40.00 buy some street hustler. These illegal aliens have created a life for themselves using these numbers. Some own businesses, houses, property and have familys and their children are American citizens.

I believe if this was to pass you would be surprised the legal statis of people you already know.

Reagan tried it in the 80's and guess what it did not work! The GNWO shit is getting out of hand! But it's so fucking obvious it's rediculous! I tried Sheeple, I really did!

And the Blah Blah shit about "But americans won't do those jobs"' is fucking BS!

Send them back! Set up a real guest worker program if there are millions of open jobs, witch there are not! The truth is Biz is addicted to cheap labor and they will do anything to keep it that way even if it means fucking over American Citizens!

Does the Bush admin REALLY THINK a mexican will continue cleaning toilets after he gets a GC?

I mean SERIOUSLY?

Nope. He'll move on, and that toilet will be replaced with another border jumping. Therefore border jumping will continue over and over and over again...

-= nav =-

It will keep going on untill the Antarcticans start crossing the border!

just kiding, but you get the point!

Send money back here from Mexico? Are you serious? There IS no money in mexico and the exchange rate isn't that favorable, either (though it's improving).

Most of the mexicans work hard and for not much pay. They make it harder to compete with low pay day labor and janitor jobs. Who else wants these jobs?

As for free American services. Well, nothing is really "free," is it? Too much "free" service is a problem.

Mexicans come here to work, for the most part. I don't have a problem with that.
