there are 4 images that are burned more clearly in my memory than any others that I think about all the time. Does anyone else remember these???

1. chances last couple of feet on the conans wheel as he was screaming

2. shane loading his pr stone, and yelling after he got it

3. jasonaa screaming on the hercules hold

4. all of jokers events because i remember thinking "wow this guy hasn't trained one single event ever"

I feel like these happened yesterday...i still think about them all the time. If determination had to have a picture next to it in the dictionary those faces would be there just as i remember them

i know exactly how ya feel. i have em burned in there two. i also remember the intense face you had during the medley. insane

mine are

Tec and his toughness

Dave for is un-godly width

Suston for his brute force

and Clint for a face that i see everytime i see a big man.

Being as how it was my first contest, I will forever remember the intensity and desire each contestant put out during each event. Going until he/she collapsed and absolutely could not go another inch.

I have never before seen anything like it. Absolutely incredible. I will never forget that.

You guys really have no idea how this thread makes me feel.

I'd like to say that I've played a small part in where you guys are at right now. Small, I say, because you guys did all the work...ALL the work.

I am blessed that so many of my Elite friends became my personal friends and they, too, have had a chance to experience one of the facets of life that I love the most.

Clint, I'll say thax again if I haven't before. You have helped all of us, in different ways. Some with training, some just as being a friend, some as both.

T3C, i feel proud to make your top list. I felt at the time that was physically the most difficult thing I have ever done loading that stone. It looked easier in the video of it than it felt at the time:)

burned into memory;

Exodus on the viking press, Speed and force

Shane on the stone's without a doubt, pure will

Linder on the medley, grease lightning

Pitt running with the wheel

IronLion face on the wheel

King's on the stones after he went doing it over and over, true will

t3C no quit pushing the suburban

Hammer on the Hercules hold screaming

Clint introducing me to the crowd, and just being there

I know exactly what you mean, whenever someone mentions it certain things seem to always pop into mind.

First of all my self and how suprise I still am that I pickd the conans wheel up, much less walkd with it.

Definatly Jasonaa's screaming:) But BFold's as well....

Corey and the way he pushd himseld....and the look on his dads face while he watch him.

And King almost passing out after the medley.

And ofcorse all the great people I got to meet.

LOVE THE AVATAR!!!

I appreciate even being mentioned along side anyone who competed at that contest. Hopefully, I can supply some good yells at Nationals. The thing that I remember the most was thinking about how good everyone, who had never even done a single event, was doing. Also, Shane loading that last stone. That was pretty impressive.

I know jason, some of those guys had me worried. Your hercules hold looked painful from the get go. Mine started hurting at 4 seconds, I thought right then, this is gonna be a long 30 seconds:) I knew I could not get last in that event. haha.

I hope both of us provide a few at nationals.:)

You two are going to do great at nationals. I wish that King and I could be there to cheer you on. We'll be thinking of you! GOOD LUCK!

What about Nefi losing all equilibrium and then coming back to bang out like 3 more reps. That was insane.

Cuthbert and Winters hovering over my shoulder as I yacked my brains out and them helping me on my feet.

Brad Pitt running like Walter Payton on the conan Wheel

nice come back strong and with a vengeance

i defeinitly can still hear the shreiking heaves leaving your head Dave!!!!!!

Do not eat at Burger King before a Strongman Event folks!!!!

Anyone else see Spatts carry her husband on her back through the parking lot at El Tequilla?

What about Exodus passing out (he called it 'sleeping') in Nefi's living room???

B True

i was sleeping.............. it had nothing to do with the piture and a half of margaritta's i had at dinner, or the .............. awww heck i was passed out i dont even remember the name of what spatt's husband made for me at nefi's.......... but it sure was good.

i personally thought the coolest thing was watching my wife (trinity73) bust her butt to try and get that conan's wheel up, and even though she never got to walk with it, she pushed as hard as she possibly could for 60 seconds trying to get that dang thing up.

I think trinity on the conans and t3c on the viking press were my two favorites....no quit in either of them

thanks ironlion...I told exodus just the other day I will attempt the conans again asap and I will get it... I can honestly say I was not mentally prepared for it!! I am gaining strength there as well as everywhere else.....westside definately rocks.
