This is my favorite song, ever... I just felt I needed to share!!

Smile
Though your heart is aching
Smile
Even though it's breaking
When
There are clouds
In the sky,
You'll get by
If you smile
Through your fear and sorrow
Smile
And maybe tomorrow
You'll see the sun
Come shining through
For you

Light up your face
With gladness
Hide every trace
Of sadness
Although a tear
May be ever so near
That's the time
You must keep on trying
Smile,
What's the use of crying?
You'll find that life
Is still worth-while
If you just smile

That's the time
You must keep on trying
Smile,
What's the use of crying?
You'll find that life
Is still worth-while
If you just smile

Chaplin - Turner - Parsons

Do you have any clue how old that song is? if it's from the 20's i can tell you who wrote it but you wouldn't believe me.

This is freaking weird

I swear and this sounds weird but my great-great grand father wrote that song, Leeland S. Roberts from Atascadero CA. I wrote an essay on him when I was in 5th grade and my crusty old music teacher knew the song.
Obviously I'm from Ca. He died in 1949 and the family recieved royalites of that and other songs for 50 years after his death in 1949. in the Roaring 20's he partied with the people like William Randaulph Hearst and such. My grandparents still live in that town to this day and I visit them now and them.
If you like the song that much I will get a copy of that article from my grandparents if you want it for some historical aspect. What I liked was the fact that he was a millionare a couple of time but drank and parited his ass off supposedly. talk about a small world.:)

Actually he either helped right the lyrics or the piano portion I'm not 100% positive. But know I have to find out
