The Mark has always been a strong currency. I'm mostly German, I had two uncles that served in Europe for this country....I'm an American but I respect my heritage and the courage of my grandfather immigrating after WWI. My last name is a tribute to the fact he readily changed it to sound English to integrate. Also, the feds detained my grandfather and grandmother during WWII even though they had two sons serving in Europe. One of my uncles was in the 82nd Airborne.

No, I respect my heritage. We've always been a military family..I enlisted at 17 and went through BCT during my break between JR and Sr year in high school. We've always been soldiers and my grandfather instilled a strong sense of duty and honor in me;That's why I have to stand up against things that are wrong.

The "German" in me makes me a better American.

Just explaining...I learned my German from weekly visits to Southern Ohio that I hated. My father never spoke German at home, he had father issues but I couldn't understand why I shouldn't learn from my grandfather...I really think a lot of what my father did was in defiance of his father....they argued about me learning German.
